This week: WHAT DID CHECKOFF REPRESENTATIVES ACCOMPLISH AT THE 2008 CATTLE INDUSTRY CONVENTION?

Setting Priorities – About 5,000 cattlemen gathered in Reno, Nevada this week to kick off the planning process for investment of checkoff dollars in Fiscal 2009, which begins Oct. 1, 2008. Members of the Cattlemen’s Beef Board and the Federation of State Beef Councils participated in checkoff program committee meetings to identify priorities for checkoff funding, particularly in light of tight budgets that are expected to drop again in the coming year.
